When you think of the UK, the weather is probably not something you're too hopeful for, but we do get a fair bit in the south. Here's are the 10 sunniest places in the UK according to 30 years of weather data the Met Office has gathered.
The Met Office figures revealed that the Isle of Wight, an island off the south coast of England, is the sunniest place in the UK with more than 1,976 hours of sunshine per year and an average of 5 hours and 8 minutes of sunshine per day.

- Kent – 4 hours 47 minutes of sunshine per day
- East Sussex – 4 hours 46 minutes of sunshine per day
- West Sussex – 4 hours 42 minutes of sunshine per day
- Essex – 4 hours 35 minutes of sunshine per day
- Dorset – 4 hours 34 minutes of sunshine per day
- Suffolk – 4 hours 34 minutes of sunshine per day
- Hampshire – 4 hours 32 minutes of sunshine per day
- Surrey – 4 hours 29 minutes of sunshine per day
- Cornwall – 4 hours 29 minutes of sunshine per day
